true life lessons
I learned something about myself today.
I was talking with my friend Petersen and we were discussing whether or not I should pursue this boy - I, of course, was bugging about it because I'm a girl and lets face it, whats new?
But he made such a valid point, he said "no matter what anyone says, if its supposed to happen then it will happen. Just don't rush anything and play it by ear".
I've been thinking about it and he's really right: my problem is that I always rush into things with guys - I'm always trying to make a relationship appear out of thin air instead of just letting things evolve on their own. Then after a few months I realize that I don't really like who the other person is and I'm in a clusterEFF of a mess trying to dig my way out with my bare hands.
And with this particular guy, I'm trying to make things happen right now because I'm nervous that if I don't make it happen soon that someone will take him.
But the truth is, if he likes me enough and someone else does try to get with him, then he'll turn them down. And if he doesn't turn them down, he obviously is more interested in them and then this wasn't supposed to happen anyways.
PLUS, by not jumping into things I'll get to see if I actually like him or if I'm just infatuated.
So, I'm just going to let things go where they will.

it was my birthday yesterday, I'm allowed to have cake... right?

My mother says she would like to go to the gym early this morning, I say okay mother. I wake up at 6am. I try to wake her up - she says no bueno - I say "screw those monkeys". No WAY I'm getting up before 6 in my two remaining weeks of summer.

sooo sleepy, and yet... I cannot pull myself away from tumblr.
It's 12: 53am, WILL I be able to get up at 6am and go to the gym?
